THE MANAGEMENT OF THE DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS (DNMS): A MAJOR NEED FOR INDUSTRIES |
In an industrial
site, the functioning of the installations is very often ensured by a
multiplicity of fluids (electricity, liquids used for the cooling of
the equipment, corrosive, toxic and explosive gas and other chemicals
in all kinds).
The distribution of these fluids is ensured by networks of type piping, ducts, cables,
data processing, etc... called "technical networks". The topology of
these networks is often complex (ringed networks, tree structure).
In some sites, tens, even hundreds of different distribution networks
are necessary to keep the installations functioning and can thus
represent hundreds of kilometers of piping and thousands of valves.
The management of these distribution networks can becom a true headache mixing
complexity and safety of the installation, making it difficult to
maintain and operate.

MICADO'S ANSWERS TO THE PROBLEMS OF THE NETWORKS MANAGERS |
Recognized for
being an innovative tool by OSEO ANVAR in 2005, MICADO was developed by
the Study Department SEMICAD of OMEGA CONCEPT
company (Group GDF SUEZ)in partnership with the
company CORIM solutions.
MICADO is a tool to help you make decision, it allows the optimization of the interventions maintenance, but also the security of the
production sites while fulfilling the legal requirements(DRIRE, GMP, FDA, ASN, IAEA, AFSSAPS).
MICADO will guarantee the traceability of the networks and the equipment of
the site, and is well positioned as an existing complement of the
management software, in particular Computerized Maintenance
Management System (CMMS).
MICADO is also an information system which allows users to quickly and
simultaneously access the information (topology, data sheets, reports,
diagrams, plans...) linked to the equipment and the networks. The speed and the
facility of the search for information that MICADO offers,
represent a daily profit in reactivity, safety and productivity.

MICADO
meets the concrete needs for a company
which has to manage technical networks while allowing :
|
- To describe, count and locate the machines, the equipment and the installations of industrial site.
- To know the availability of the connection points and the connections of equipments to the networks.
- To know the energy and materials needs for the equipements installations
- To visualize and follow the networks structure.
- To estimate the saturation of the networks and the installations.
- To identify the equipments impacted by incidents on the networks or by a valve closing.
- To identify the stopping points on the networks allowing to isolate the equipments.
- To simulate the connection of new equipment in order to control the rise in charge of the distribution networks.
- To visualize the technical documents linked to the networks (EDM)

ASSETS AND FEATURES OF THE SOFTWARE |
Based on a Dot Net architecture, MICADO has an
intuitive and extremely configurable interface available in two
languages (French and English)
The software is compatible whith the databases SQL Server and Oracle.
While being based on Citrix technology, the users can launch the remote
application from a simple internet navigator.
